Ms. Bodacious May and Why Your Mother is Bodacious.

The past month has been challenging to say the least for all of the TaTas. Challenging in a way that prompts your inner child to curl up on the couch and eat some of mom's famous soup (or her best Kraft mac & cheese) while her words and comforts magically dissolve your hurts away...at least for the time she is there. Mom's have that superhero power to comfort and console, annoy and embarrass, and to call you when you have fifteen things in your arms including a kid with a dirty diaper trying to get out of the car in torrential downpours. The wonderful thing is that no matter how many of those calls she makes, or how much she nagged you, that superpower of "Mom" will always bring a comfort to your soul. This is Bodaciousness. This month we honor Shirley Mathis (Chris Elliott's mom), literally the "Mother TaTa" who we lost this week to breast cancer. Our prayers and thoughts are with Chris and his family. RIP Shirley, you are BODACIOUS.
The Bodacious TaTas encourage all of you to show your mother how Bodacious she really is. She earned it. The TaTas also send our support to those who have lost their moms and those who are just becoming moms. WE LOVE YOU MOM!

The TaTas announce first "TaTa of the Month" Ms. Bodacious March!

The TaTas have been throwing around the idea of starting a "TaTa of the Month" for awhile now. We get some really bodacious characters that come to our shows and send us fun fan-mail. Last month we were contacted by the lovely Ms. Nicole Angelino who sent us some creative fan pictures that inspired us to follow through with our plan. Chris met up with this adorable TaTa last week, crafting creative libations behind the bar at Cork Grinders craft beer and wine (and awesome food) in the bohemia of  old Baytown, TX. While enjoying ---, Chris got to know the smokin' 33 year-old Italian redhead and well, it got a little personal...(don't blame him, he's single)

Chris:  What is it that you like about The Bodacious Tata's?

Nikki:  Being a fan of the female form and the AMAZING VIBE the Tata's attract on stage, The Bodacious Tata's are music to the ears, and pleasing on the eyes. Let's face it, EVERYONE loves BTs.

Chris:   Who is your favorite TaTa, or if it's easier, what is your favorite song they play?

Nikki:  Well, I have mad love for the entire group, but I will confess my undying love & affections for Emily Glazener. Obviously her  Bodacious TaTas helped me make that decision.

Chris:  What would your ideal career or job be?

Nikki:  Professional Hugger or a Bodacious Tata fluffer.

-------(Whoa, the TaTas could really use an adorable fluffer like Nikki)------

Chris:  Are you currently in a committed relationship?  Available? Happy being single?

Nikki: I am happy to be in a long term relationship with myself; I think it's working out!

------(What about the short term??)-------

Chris:  What do you do for fun? Either by yourself or with others.

Nikki:  I spend time with family, friends, The Bodacious TaTas, dancing. I perform spoken word, spittin' truths through flow, practice meditation and yoga. I love cooking, food and wine, creating and appreciating art, reading, bare toes in the sand, vinyl records and making people smile.

Chris:  What would you say is your most attractive feature?

Nikki:  My big round wit.

-------(among other thingies)------

Chris:  What is your biggest turn off?

Nikki:  Unbodacious TaTas.

Chris:  What is your biggest turn on?

Nikki:  Bodacious tantric vibes.

Chris:  Does size matter?

Nikki:  I plead the fifth.

-----(Damn, she's adorable and polite.)-----

Chris:  If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Nikki:  In this mindful moment of gratitude. Thank you!

Nikki, The TaTas are in that moment of gratitude, thanks a billion for being our first TaTa of the Month!!

If you would like to catch up with Nicole, you can find her at Cork Grinders located @ 206 W. Texas Ave, Baytown,TX 77520

Local musicians are always happy about scoring new gigs, especially at shiny new venues. It's almost like we get to "put another notch on our lipstick case" (sorry...I'm a nerd). It makes us proud to land a gig, then the advertising begins. We jump on social media and post, tweet, invite, Instagram, snapchat, share and whatever else pokes our fanbase to get them out to party with us. TaTas Drink of the Week #1

Welcome to the TaTa's new feature...our Drink of the Week blogpost. A TaTa must stay up with the times and continue to further their education in all things Bodacious. This includes classic cocktails, noteworthy brews and the latest libations we are imbibing in this week. Here's #1:

"Flu-Fighters" cocktail. Its winter and the flu is upon us. I currently know 3 people with an active case of the flu. Fortunately, none of the TaTas have it, but if we did, we would be drinking this great cocktail. So much for the flu shot.

"Flu-Fighters" Cocktail

Single
1.5 oz (1 shot) orange vodka
3 oz fresh orange juice
3 oz fresh carrot juice

For a batch (and those of you who are bad at math):
1 part orange vodka
2 parts fresh orange juice
2 parts fresh carrot juice

Coat the rim of the glass with vitamin C powder
Garnish with orange and zest
Back each cocktail with a full glass of water.
